My RC Race Engineer is an RC race engineering app that helps you store car setups, tune motors, log race results and get setup advice. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
Account information — your name and email address, and your password (stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text).
Information you enter — your saved setups, best setups, setup history, motors and tunes, tyres, batteries, wrenching notes, practice sessions, race results and imports, your cars and tracks, and your transponder number.
Profile and community content — anything you choose to add, such as a profile photo, bio, best results, your RC hero, setups you share to the Community, and messages you send to other members through Friends or group chats.
Messages you send us — bug reports, suggestions and support conversations you send through the app, including your email address so we can reply.
Technical information — basic device, browser and usage information collected automatically so the app works properly and we can see which features are being used.
We use your information to: run your account and sync your data across your devices; show your saved setups, results and stats; generate the AI setup advice you ask for; process your subscription; send you account and service emails; respond to your feedback and support requests; and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your setup data for advertising.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never stored by us or visible to us. We receive only the information needed to manage your subscription, such as your email address, plan, and subscription status.
When you use "Ask Barry" or another AI feature, the details you provide — such as your car, track and setup values — are sent to our AI service provider so a response can be generated. AI advice is generated by artificial intelligence, may not always be correct, and should be treated as a guide.
We use trusted providers to run the app: a hosting and database provider to store your data, an authentication provider for signing in, Stripe for payments, an email provider for service emails, and an AI provider for AI features. When you import results from a timing service (such as RC Scoring Pro, LiveRC or LiveTime) we fetch publicly available results from that website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites you visit or link to.
Some features are visible to other people: setups you publish to the Community, setups you share with friends, setups you send through a share link, and your profile information and messages inside Friends and group chats. Anything you publish or send can be seen and copied by others, so please only share what you are comfortable making public.
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers and transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to your saved data is restricted to your own account. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. A copy of your data is also kept in your own browser's local storage so the app works offline and loads quickly on your device.
You can edit or delete your saved setups, motors, tyres, batteries, notes and runs at any time from within the app. You can delete a setup you have shared to the Community. You can delete your account and its stored data from the Profile screen — this permanently removes your account and the data held against it. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your information, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and the content stored against it, except for records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal reasons, which are retained only as long as necessary.
This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
We use your browser's local storage to remember your settings and keep your data available offline, and cookies or tokens from our authentication provider to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated version will always be available on this page with a new "last updated" date, and significant changes will be brought to your attention in the app or by email.
Questions about your privacy or how your data is handled? Reach us through the in-app bug report / feedback button, the support chat, or our contact page.
